🎸 2024 Albums #7

Dookie was 30 years old this year. It’s a classic punk rock album. If you’re even remotely interested in this kind of music, you know Basket Case (one of my all time favourites songs). When I was learning to play guitar, I had this album on repeat, because it’s just a perfect example of simple but enjoyable music.

I don’t think it’s Green Day’s best album. American Idiot and Nimrod are ahead, for me. But it’s got so many great punk rock songs. When I Come Around, Welcome To Paradise, She, Longview. It’s a mix of earnest, angsty, angry and silly. Just a great listen.
