🎸 2025 Music #3

I don't know why it took me so long to listen to a Descendents album. I've read lots of interviews with some of my favourite bands referencing them as their favourite band. And I can see why.

This is from 1996 and it feels like a classic punk rock album. I can hear how it influenced so many bands from later, and the shared roots with their peers too. Green Day, Offspring, Blink-182, Bad Religion, Rise Against, The Ataris.

I love the mix of short, fast, frenetic songs with more melodic punk rock songs. I'm glad I've discovered this band, and they have a big back catalogue to look through.
